Money is what God used to Be (Warrior Poet Mental Yoga 169)

Orwell from 1936. Orwell, along with Vonnegut (among other literary geniuses), firmly believed and espoused on the observation that in the western societies of Britain and the US, the citizenry has been taught to hate themselves if they are poor or if they are not addicted to the accumulation of money and other material objects like everyone else. It is a mechanism of destabilizing mind-control and it primarily targets Empaths via peer pressure/ societal alienation if they fail to serve the “fabricated money God” that the Apaths are so unquestioningly unified and comfortable with bowing to as their primary purpose in life. This is perpetually reinforced by the psychopaths/sociopaths within the given society so they may retain control and thwart rebellion or challenge from the Empaths who might stand against them.
